What was the problem?

A fintech company offering SMB credit and financial products had a manual onboarding process: a new client signed up online, then waited for an operations agent to contact them, collect documents, explain the product terms, and complete identity verification. The average onboarding took 3–5 business days.

What we built

We built a fully automated onboarding agent on WhatsApp that guides new clients through the entire process — document collection, identity verification, product explanation, and account activation — conversationally, in their own time.

Instant welcome and eligibility check
As soon as a new client signs up, they receive a WhatsApp message within 60 seconds. The agent welcomes them, confirms eligibility (tax ID verification, basic business questions), and begins the onboarding flow — any time, any day.

Guided document collection with validation
The agent requests each required document one at a time, explains exactly what format is needed, provides examples, and validates the submission in real time (using vision AI to check quality, completeness, and legibility). Documents that don't pass are rejected immediately with a clear explanation of what's wrong.

Product walkthrough and Q&A
Once documents are collected, the agent walks the client through the product terms, credit line limits, repayment schedule, and fees — in plain language. It answers any questions the client has conversationally, without legal jargon.

Digital signing and activation
The agent sends the digital contract link, confirms signature, and triggers account activation in the backend system — notifying the client their credit line is active and explaining how to use it. The entire process takes 15–20 minutes.
